Be Social Cambridge Giveaway - Summer 2021
The Be Social Cambridge Giveaway will be featuring prizes from 34 of Cambridge's independent businesses. All the prizes combined come up to approx. £3,000. The competition will take place between 25.06.21-02.07.21. All entrants must fill in the required fields to be entered. 10 entrants will be selected at random for the consumer prize bundles (consisting of 3-4 prizes).
The Small Indie Business Giveaway, again entrants must fill in the required fields to be entered. Three businesses will then be selected at random and receive four prizes from the business prize bundles. The businesses must be independent, not part of a franchise and be situated within Cambridgeshire with a CB post code. All businesses entered will be evaluated before the draw is made to ensure they meet the requirements of being a small independent business.
The winners will be announced on Monday 5th of July on Be Social Cambridge's Facebook and Instagram. The winners will be notified via email of their prizes and confirmed arrangements with the contributors from Tuesday 6th of July.

Be Social Cambridge is offering Premium Memberships to independent businesses who wish to gain further exposure throughout Cambridgeshire. The businesses must be within the Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties, independent and not part of a national franchise.
Between 07.06.21-31.07.21 an Early Bird offer of £15.00 per month or £150.00 per year is valid for those who wish to join as a Business to Consumer member. For Business to Business members our Early Bird offer is at £10.00 per month or £100.00 per year. Both the monthly and annual Early Bird offer is only valid for 12 months as of the 1st of August 2021. After that we will be in touch to inform you of either the latest offer. You can cancel your Premium Membership at any time, however you will lose out on your benefits if doing so. If you wish to re-join, you will have to pay the going rate for the Premium Memberships.
From 01.08.21 the set pricing will be at £20.00 per month or £200.00 per year for B2C and £15.00 per month or £150.00 per year for B2B.
Our new website is due to be launched in mid-July (date TBC) and all businesses who are part of our Premium Membership will have their profile live to view.
With all Premium Members profiles, you will receive an analytical report after every three full months.
The exclusive stall at our hosted events at Sook Space is only valid to those who have an active Premium Membership. From August 2021, Be Social Cambridge will be hosting several pop-up shops at Sook Space, in the Grafton Centre, Cambridge every Wednesday. Dates of those events will be emailed to you once confirmed as well as appearing on our Events Page on the new website. A small fee will be required to cover the costs of the use of the space, as well as promotional paid advertisement and supplied bags.
The Business Insider Series, which includes several features, will be applicable to those who opt for the annual Premium Membership plan.
The professional photo shoot, will consist of three professionally shot photos that will feature on your premium profile on our directory, our social media networks and can be used by yourselves, as long as our partner Pugs Shoots and Be Social Cambridge are credited on your website and/or social media posts.
The professional 30-second video, is only valid to those who opt for the annual Premium Membership. The video shoot will be filmed by our partner Synergy Film. Be Social Cambridge will coordinate with Synergy Film on a set location, date and time for the filming. Several businesses may be filmed throughout the filming window, either indoors at a pre-arranged location or outdoors.
The collaborative workshops will feature as a video conference to all Premium & Standard Members of Be Social Cambridge, providing the business service provider a timed segment to showcase their offering with a Q&A session. Details of each workshop event will be agreed between the guest speaker and BSC at least two weeks in advance of the digital event.
The bespoke email campaigns is valid to either monthly or annual Premium Members, however only one email campaign can be published per three months. An analytical report will be provided seven days after the published date.
The Digital Marketing Audit Session will include two phone/video calls between Samuel Douglas of Be Social Cambridge and those who opt for the Premium Membership. The first call will be to establish the businesses current marketing practices. After two weeks, Samuel will be in touch with the business offering a suggested new strategy guideline.
We receive, collect and store any data you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. In addition, we collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer/smart device to the Internet. The software tools used are Google Analytics and Wix.com's analytics.
When you register you business on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your company name, post code, email address, website URL, social media URLs and text information boxes. Your personal/business information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.
We collect such non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
1. To provide and operate the Services;
2. To provide our audience with live updates on your business;
3. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which we may use to provide and improves our services;
4. To comply with any application laws and regulations.
Be Social Cambridge is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide our services to you and our audiences. Your data may be stored through Wix.com's data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications as well as on a secured Google Business cloud drive only accessible by Be Social Cambridge. The stored data is on a secure server behind a firewall.

By registering for your profile, you give us the right to share your social media posts on either of our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. You will be credited and tagged on each post, this giving you extra, exposure to our followers. We aren't responsible for those who follow us or are members of our Facebook Group, but we do monitor all comments publicly posted and remove any abusive or spamming comments.
Reposts. Tag us on Instagram and we will repost it to our followers, where it will feature on our Instagram feed and on our Facebook page. We will aim to repost your tagged post between 09:00-18:00 Monday-Saturday. Any posts after 18:00 will be in the queue for the following day. Sundays will be used to post any remaining posts that are in the queue. If your post is urgent and needs to be posted on the day/time you require, please contact us through Instagram to inform us. For all competition posts that you are hosting, we will only promote it as a story on both our Instagram and Facebook accounts, instructing our followers to go to your post to enter. It will not feature on our feed.
The current business profiles on our directory offer the follow features: logo, content body, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & website buttons, image gallery and location. Due to our current limitations, all the buttons will appear on your profile, whether you have a social media account or not. The buttons won't link through, so be sure to send us all your active social media account URLs for them to work.
